14 Million Americans Have Rosacea
And Most of Them Don't Know It
Rosacea (pronounced roh-ZAY-sha) is a common but little-known disorder of the facial skin that affects an estimated 14 million Americans -- and most of them don't know it. In fact rosacea is becoming increasingly widespread as the populous baby boom generation enters the most susceptible ages. Because of its red-faced, acne-like effects on personal appearance, however, it can cause significant psychological, social and occupational problems if left untreated.
In recent surveys by the National Rosacea Society, nearly 70 percent of rosacea patients said this condition had lowered their self-confidence and self-esteem, and 41 percent reported it had caused them to avoid public contact or cancel social engagements. Among rosacea patients with severe symptoms, nearly 70 percent said the disorder had adversely affected their professional interactions, and nearly 30 percent said they had even missed work because of their condition.
Today medical help is available that can control the signs and symptoms of this potentially life-disruptive disorder. Any one of the following warning signs is a signal to see a dermatologist or other knowledgeable physician for diagnosis and appropriate treatment before the signs and symptoms become increasingly severe:
* Redness on the cheeks, nose, chin or forehead.
* Small visible blood vessels on the face.
* Bumps or pimples on the face.
FotoFacial Intense Pulse Light Therapy
FotoFacial Treatments are the most effective way to treat the redness and bumps of rosacea. Pulses of visible light effectively improve facial redness and flushing as well as the visible signs of sun damage and aging.
FotoFacial Treatments were developed and first introduced by Board-certified dermatologist, Patrick Bitter Jr. MD as a non invasive method of photo rejuvenation to improve the appearance of the skin with no downtime.
NEW Sciton BBL (broad band light)- New Advance in Photofacial Treatments!!!
In 2007 Perfect Skin Laser Center upgraded to the top-of-the-line Sciton BBL system. The Sciton BBL system has an integrated sapphire
cooling tip for even greater patient comfort and safety. I believe
it is the best Photofacial IPL system available today. If you want outstanding results
come see us today.
Specific
settings are
selected for each treatment for optimal results. A series of 3-5
treatments are performed at three week intervals. The benefits of
FotoFacial treatments are consistent, visible improvement in the
skin with no downtime, little discomfort and minimal risk. With FotoFacial
treatments the embarrassing redness and flushing of rosacea can be
greatly reduced and sun damaged, aging skin can be dramatically improved,
and age
spots can
be eliminated.
Why does Perfect Skin Laser Center offer superior
results?
Our fotofacial treatments take 60-90 minutes each
because after your IPL treatment we use the Gemini C Aesthetic
Laser to go over any resistant redness, spider veins, or pigmented
lesions you may have. This combination results in much greater improvement
in your skin with each session. Patients often tell us they see more
improvement after just one Photofacial treatment at the Perfect Skin
Center than they saw after 5 treatments done by other skin care
centers. This is because our combination approach results in superior
results.
