At Perfect Skin Laser Center in Arizona we have been using the
Brava Breast Enhancement
System for
breast enlargement since it was FDA approved. The vast majority
of our patients have had good to excellent results. About 1/2 of
our Brava patients were referred by other brava users. The Brava
breast enhancement system is the only clinically proven non surgical
alternative for breast enlargement and shaping. The Brava system
is a medical device, (developed by physicians after a decade of
research and development), which has met all FDA requirements.

breast augmentation.

The Brave Breast Enhancement system is made up of
two semi rigid domes and a self-regulating microprocessor that
creates and regulates a slight vacuum within the domes. The system
is held in place with a sports-bra. The gentle tension created
stimulates the breast tissue to grow and increase the overall breast
size. Clinical studies have shown that wearing the system 10 hours
per day for ten weeks will increase the breast size approximately
one cup size. The system can be worn longer than ten weeks with
continued increased breast tissue growth. The rule of thumb is
that a woman grows one cup size for each ten weeks of wear. Patients
have maintained this increased breast size for more than two years
after the completion of the initial clinical trials.
The FDA clinical trials on Brave Breast Enhancement
were conducted between 1998 and 2001. Approximately 200 women between
ages 18 and 50 years of age participated in the study. The results
showed that women who consistently wore the Brava system for ten
weeks grew an average of 100 CC, (approximately one cup size).
All participants were satisfied with the results and felt that
their breasts were lifted and enlarged. Studies, including MRI
scans, were preformed on the participants that showed they had
undergone increased breast tissue growth and the breast enlargement
was not due to temporary swelling.

Will the “new” breast
tissue fees different to the original breast?
No, it’s the person’s own tissue that is growing.
Will the Brava Breast Enhancement
System cause stretch marks?
No. The Brava system is very gentle. It applies a minimal amount
of pressure to the breast area and the resulting growth is a gradual
process. Due to this gentle method of action, no evidence of stretch
marks has been observed.
When do I use the Brava breast
enhancement and shaping system?
Most women prefer to where the system in the evening while they
sleep. It can, however, be worn during the day. You will need to
be able to wear the system for ten consecutive hours.
What happens if one or more
days are skipped during a treatment?
Skipped or missed days, especially at the beginning of treatment,
cause significant setbacks. Because of the way the process works,
growth takes place only after sustained tension is exerted on tissue.
When tension is not applied for significant periods of time, (say
48 hours), cell memory causes the tissue to regress back toward
its original state, eliminating much of the previous benefit gained.
As the wearer enters the 5th or 6th week of wear, a skipped day
does not create an as significant a setback as it would during the
beginning of treatment.
How does the Brava Breast Enhancement
System feel?
Women who use the system have said that it did not cause any pain
or significant discomfort. The slight pressure developed inside
the Brava system’s dome is equivalent to the pressure change
experienced between sea level and climbing to the top of a high
tower.
What risks, if any, are there
from using the system?
The risks associated with the device could be a contact dermatitis,
that is, an allergic reaction to the materials used in the device.
